US Retiree Relocation Package for Chile

You receive one fixed quote based on whether you apply alone or as a couple. 50% is due when we start, and 50% only when your visa is approved. Government fees, apostilles, translations, and insurance premiums are third-party costs you pay directly, or we pay on your behalf, at cost with no markup.

The package covers the negotiation and closing of a home you have chosen, anywhere in Chile, remotely. If you want us to physically travel with you to search cities and visit properties together, that is the property search add-on, quoted separately.

Yes. If you only want a single service, we also offer unbundled services. However, booked separately, the services in the package would cost more.

There is no official published amount by the immigration service. However, while being cheaper than the USA, Chile is not a cheap country in Latin America. Below 1000 USD for a single applicant, or 1500 USD for a couple, you could still be approved, but Chile may not be the best country for you. Peru or Bolivia would provide you with a better standard of living.

It depends on your income type. Pension and Social Security income points to the retirement visa, while rental income, dividends, or annuities point to the rentista visa. Many retirees have a mix, and choosing the wrong category costs months. That analysis is the first thing we do.

No. You cannot. The visa application must be filed from the US, and the city consultation, housing negotiation, and most of the setup are handled remotely. You fly once there is something to fly to.

Yes. The package is designed for couples as much as singles: the visa application covers dependents, and the city consultation is built around what works for both of you.

It depends. Adult children can be included if they are students under 24 or have a health condition that makes them dependent on you. Otherwise, you cannot include adult children in your first temporary residence application. They become eligible once you are a permanent resident.

Insurance is the most age-sensitive piece of the move, and the options change meaningfully at 60, 65, and 70. We introduce you to specialized brokers (local and international) for your exact age and health situation, and our insurance memo gives you the full picture before any broker call.

Permanent residency typically becomes available after your temporary residence period. You become eligible for citizenship after 5 years of residence. Once citizenship processing is included, the full timeline is realistically 7-9 years. Both the USA and Chile allow dual nationality.
