About Expat.cl: Helping Expats Move to Chile Since 2016

Founded in 2016 by Jeremie Le Pevedic, Expat.cl guides expats from 50+ countries through Chilean visas, residency, citizenship, and relocation. Rated 4.8/5.

Hi, I'm Jeremie. Expat.cl is how I help people move to Chile.

I spent eight years in investment banking and lived in more than ten countries, from Stockholm to Shanghai, before moving to Chile in 2014. In 2016 I started Expat.cl, because every expat around me was fighting the same battles: a visa system in Spanish, landlords quoting foreigner prices, and advice that was outdated or simply wrong.

Since then I have guided expats from 50+ countries through Chilean visas, residency, citizenship, home searches, and everything in between, and wrote the 265-page Chile Handbook for Foreigners so nobody has to guess.

In 2022 I became a Chilean citizen by naturalization: I have been through the entire process myself, from first visa to Chilean passport, in front of the same offices my clients deal with.

How I work: in English, French, or Spanish. In writing, so you can rely on my answers weeks later. You know the full price before we start, and I make no promises I cannot keep.

Tell me about your project and I will come back to you within 24 hours with a clear plan.

Jérémie Le Pévédic

Founder

Since his first expatriation, he has been living and working in more than ten countries (and visiting a lot more). In westernized cities (Stockholm, Belfast, London, New York, Hong Kong, and Shanghai, to name a few). But also in less welcoming cities (Kiev and Riyadh), where something as simple as reading a traffic sign is already a great achievement. After 8 years working for a large French investment bank, Jérémie relocated to Chile in 2014. Since then, he shares his love for Santiago and Chile with expats willing to relocate to Santiago.
